Physical and Occupational Therapists
ACP’s comprehensive programs help Physical and Occupational Therapists treat a broader patient population and more medically complex conditions through state-of-the-art physical agent modalities and advanced therapy techniques. The comprehensive programs provide CEU-approved training, state-of-the-art therapeutic modalities, evidence-based treatment protocols and on-going consultation by ACP’s licensed clinicians. By providing these proven treatment interventions, therapists are able to treat many conditions that may not always respond to traditional therapy techniques alone, such as wounds, urinary incontinence, contractures and neuromuscular dysfunction.
ACP’s medical devices are referenced in nearly 100 scientific studies for superior clinical efficacy and safety. The equipment includes Electrical Stimulation, Patterned Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation (PENS), Therapeutic Ultrasound, Shortwave Diathermy and Infrared Therapy. This medical technology has been used safely and effectively among the geriatric population for over 15 years, and for nearly 30 years in other therapy settings including physical therapy, orthopedics, outpatient clinics and elite athletics, where ACP is the "equipment of choice" for numerous professional, Olympic and collegiate sports teams. Welcome to the ACP Advantage.
Improve outcomes and functional gains for a broader range of patients and more medically complex conditions
ACP’s proven therapeutic equipment, evidence-based clinical protocols and advanced therapist training introduce the medical technology and skill-sets necessary to provide more intensive treatment options for a wider range of prevalent geriatric conditions including pain, edema, wounds, post-acute orthopedic TKA and THA, stroke recovery, neuromuscular dysfunction, urinary incontinence, contractures, arthritis, COPD, Herpes Zoster and fall prevention.
Introduce new treatment options for patients who have reached a plateau in their progress or have not responded to traditional therapy techniques
AACP’s therapeutic modalities and evidence-based protocols introduce new treatment options that enable therapists to address conditions that may not always respond to traditional therapy techniques alone, such as wounds, urinary incontinence, stroke and neuromuscular conditions.
Manage pain, edema, and range of motion for earlier initiation of therapy and more intensive therapeutic interventions
ACP’s "Physical Agent Modalities" have been shown to manage pain, inflammation and edema to allow earlier introduction of traditional therapy techniques. By managing these conditions, patients can tolerate more intensive therapy techniques earlier in the rehabilitation process to help improve functional gains and outcomes.
Learn new skill sets associated with progressive therapeutic technologies and treatment interventions.
ACP’s programs provide advanced CEU-approved training and education, as well as exposure to new therapy techniques and technology that improve professional skills and patient outcomes. Each "Clinical Solution" addresses proper patient evaluation, disease pathology, anatomy, physiology, and mechanism-of-action, as well as proper indications, contraindications, warnings and precautions for modality use with the geriatric population. Training also covers all documentation, regulatory compliance and reimbursement considerations.
ACP’s comprehensive programs require no capital expenditures. A low monthly lease includes medical devices, full equipment maintenance and repair, proprietary clinical protocols, CEU-approved therapist training and on-going program support by ACP’s licensed clinicians. By providing medically appropriate treatment options for a broader range of patients and conditions, most partnering facilities easily offset this nominal monthly charge. ACP’s programs require no long term contractual obligation and can be cancelled at the client facility’s discretion with 30 days notice.
